Location : North East
Altitude : 8,848 m
Importance : 1st Highest Mountain in the World
Best Trek Season : April to October The Everest area - the Solu khumbu region north – east of Kathmandu – and Sahgarmatha National Park, are the second most popular destinations chosen by trekkers visiting Nepal. This areas is accessible only by 7 to 10 days walk from the small village of Jiri (at the road – end) 10 hours from Kathmandu by bus, or by flying into a small, rough air strip at luckla. The route has strenuous climbs and steep descents and spends signification time at altitudes greater than the highest mountaintops of Europe and all but 2 or 3 mountains in North America. The reward of spending all that energy is magnificent mountain views unparalleled anywhere else in the World.

Fitness to tackle these challenges is essential. But more than physical well – being, a good mental attitude and strong determination is essential to success.

Lush forests, rushing rivers, spectacular waterfalls and soaring peaks surround you. The rich culture heritage of the friendly Sherpa people adds interest, enjoyment and variety to the experience.
The primary objectives of most Trekkers are the summit of Kala Pattar for the magnificent views of Everest and it’s neighboring Peaks, Everest Base Camp and the beautiful Gokyo Lakes.
